About the Department
The department was established in the year 2001 with an intake of 60 in Bachelor Programme. Now, it administers Bachelor’s programme and master programme in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 120 and 18. The department is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to JNTUA, Ananthapuramu. The primary goal of CSE is to provide best IT infrastructure, good teaching & learning environment, adopt industry practices through industry collaborations and inculcate moral and ethical values.
Short term courses and technical lectures by eminent professors and corporate professionals are arranged on a regular basis to broaden the knowledge spectrum of students. Our department periodically conducts workshops, seminars and webinars on various technologies in the field of IT.
Our M.Tech., programme in CSE widens the technical horizon of young engineering graduates. This programme covers advanced concepts in the area of Operating systems, Data analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning etc.,
By acquiring knowledge, Our students are undergone internship in IT industries that develop projects in the field of Web development, Application Software, Automation Software, Data analytics, Multimedia Software etc.,
Graduates from our department are recruited by both academia and industry and most of them occupy top positions in both all over the world. Few of the graduates became entrepreneur in various field of technology. -

DCME - Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering
Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering branch started in the academic year 2023-24 with intake of 60. The curriculum covers basics of computers, Programming, Computer Networks, Multimedia, Operating Systems, DBSM as well as Mathematics and Communication Skills. The course is career oriented by nature and open many job opportunities and higher education after successful passing the course. The course also prepares the students to pursue various Under Graduate course. At the end of the course students can able to formulate, analyze and solve the engineering problems in the field of computer science. Engineering Graduates of CSE department of KEC will be able to:- PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Program Outcomes (POs)
The Graduates will be able to: POs are statements that describe what students are expected to know and be able to do upon graduating from the program. These relate to the skills, knowledge, analytical ability attitude and behaviour that students acquire through the program. The POs essentially indicate what the students can do from subject-wise knowledge acquired by them during the program. As such, POs define the professional profile of a graduate of PG Engineering Program. NBA has defined the following three POs for a graduate of PG Engineering Program:- PO1 An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems.
